Grandpa loved Half and Half, Old Spice and strong coffee. Grandpa was smart. My favorite drugstore burley blend. Especially from the can not the pouch.

This is a smooth outstanding blend, burns perfectly, popular all over the world. I have smoked this for 25 years. This new 7 oz container is a great idea, convenient when traveling. Great price!
All in all a great tobacco!

the sourness of a lemon or a lime without the flavor. Since that is the one and only time I’ve ever tried half-and-half I suppose I could’ve just gotten a bad pouch or something so take my review with a grain of salt. But all the OTC Burleys I’m completely fine with I find them all enjoyable I’m not a huge fan of things like Captain black or Borkum riff but they’re fine too. This is literally the only OTC that I had an absolutely terrible experience with. Maybe if I ever get brave I’ll try it again in the future. Read Less

I know this is a "timeless" blend, but it's not for me. It's not aromatic enough to be pleasant room note, but it's similarly not strong enough to have good tobacco flavor. For me, it's something in between an aro and a regular tobacco.
I suspect folks either like or don't like it, but its a worthy contender in the OTC line-up

in the OTC line-up
The alcohol/liquor, anise, and other toppings (one of which has a cherry-like essence)
and spices fairly overpowers the Virginia (which is lightly grassy),
and halfway does the same to the burly, though I do get a nutty, earthy, molasses taste from it.
There is a slight cigarette note, too. The nic-hit is mild. The strength is just past the center of mild to medium,
while the taste is a step past that. It burns cool at a reasonable pace, and gives you a decent amount of smoke,
and a very consistent flavor. Didn't bite or get harsh, but left some moisture in the bowl.
Requires an average number of relights. Can be an all day smoke. Read Less

The bag smell leaned towards Industrial. Two puffs and I had an instant headache. I threw the rest of the pouch into my yard, and it killed my grass. (OK, the last is a lie).
