process seems to have mellowed the spicy characteristics While enhancing the flavor of the cigar leaf. After a while some nougat and baking spices emerge. The Virginia seems to act as a bridge between flavors. Velvety and smooth without any harshness at all. Delicious with a very pleasant finish. Will definitely order more. Read Less

ot as rough and tumble as in some blends. The flavor is enhanced by cavendish-style fermentation, which also tamed the monster that cigar leaf can be in some blends. The judicious use of burley along with perique and perique gives a medley of flavors that enhance the cigar flavor. Inclusion of black cavendish makes the blend easy to light and smoke. This stuff is really amazing. Thick full smoke and a decadent flavor. I just wish the flavor was stronger. A wonderful experience that I may revisit occasionally, but a not a regular or a favorite smoke for me.

r. But I found reviewer Don A. caught that a while back! It was strong in my nose, and when I left a cluster of this blend on my foyer table and returned the next morning for my first puffing session, the entire vestibule smelled like a cheese tray!
This unique medium-strength offering proved to be another stunner by blending kings Kyle Gellis (of Warped) and Jeremy Reeves (of Cornell & Diehl). It’s undoubtedly the pressed, steamed and fermented Cavendish of the cigar leaf that achieves a slightly funky (albeit pleasantly funky) flavor long past the charring light. Almost as if the blend has a topping of Parmesan truffle aioli! This flavor is mixed with subtle traces of—I agree—chocolate and dark fruit. As a lover of chocolate and blue cheese, I enjoyed every bowl of this beauty. The sweetness of the Virginias and the nut-flavor of the burleys, seasoned with a dash of Perique pepper, only reinforce this blend as one of my new favorites. And I do feel like I could walk with a king’s stride after each charring light. Now KS is a constant component of my tobacco cellar. 5.0 stars. Read Less

sistent for me with the flavors intertwining throughout: chocolate, coffee grounds, and barnyard (in a good way). I really can't believe how cocoa-y it tastes. It really is incredible. Despite the several bowls that I've had of this, and how mysterious it is to me it's not my go to. Mind you, it's wonderful and I do reach for it to contemplate the wonderousness of the smoke, but it's not my everyday. Don't let that dissuade you! Give this a try! It burns well, no bite, and has the most wonderful earthy, hay-ish, chocolate, coffee ground notes. I will certainly be cellaring a few of these for future enjoyment. Read Less
