About This Pipe
Danish artisan Mike Sebastian Bay got his start in the pipe-making industry when, on his quest to find someone to repair his father's old pipes, he met Tom Eltang. Bay went on to apprentice for several years under the direction of the legendary pipe maker, and has since become a well-respected figure in the industry himself. His style thoroughly embodies the Danish aesthetic, with influence from Eltang intermingled with his own unique approach. Bay's style is on grand display here with this fetching Dublin. The linework of the stummel is soft but clean, and maintains its integrity despite the exceptionally rugged rustication that dresses all but the bowl's rim. A band of horn caps the shank, offering a secure place for the sleek vulcanite stem to be secured. Clean and reserved in shaping, and wonderfully organic in finish, this Dublin is sure to entice any connoisseur of artisanal Danish pipes.
