About This Pipe

Brazilian artisan Luis Lavos' style encompasses a unique combination of woodworking, graphic design, and Danish shaping cues. This pipe is one of the most classic of classic shapes. Closely related to the Cutty, the Belge is an old shape, dating back to the days when people smoked clay pipes instead of briar. This rendition of the Belge keeps in line with many of the old shape's traditional characteristics. With a tall, narrow bowl and a trim shank-and-stem arrangement, the pipe strikes a streamlined outline. Its posture is forward urging thanks to the forward cant of the bowl as well as the slightly less-distinguished curve to the fore wall as opposed to the aft. A simple sandblast provides scintillating texture to the touch, its deep, mahogany hue complemented by that of the stem and the Patauá accent's black and cream hues.
