About This Pipe
Micah Redmond's interest in art led him naturally to the world of smoking pipes, and help and education from Premal Chheda led him to pursue it more seriously. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, he relocated to Nashville in 2015 to join the team at BriarWorks. This bent Egg of Micah's making is textured with a wealth of growth rings and flame grain that ring the bowl in harmony, unified by a dark mahogany stain. The bowl is squat — almost Tomato-like — for an Egg and backed by a muscular, arcing round shank that transitions without accent into a bent vulcanite saddle stem with narrow, domed shoulders. Micah's take on the bent Egg is fascinating, a true original that will no doubt please any fans of his previous work.
