Pure Latakia for doing some testing and tuning at home with your own blends. It’s good quality tobacco and perfect for forming the base foundation for a home English blend, or adding as a supporting cast member to a non-English blend. I have a few different experiments underway right now.

Good to smoke on its own, leather, milk w/ a little bit of sweet. Needs a few re-lights, burns neutral and will not bite. Good for blending. My opinion may be biased as I'm a heavy Latakia lover.

It will do... There is nothing very outstanding or especially interesting here. Heavy creosote and sappy, tarry, pine-like smoke. Gone are the days of real Syrian Latakia, but we all know that. Many pipe smokers eventually try their own blends and latakia is used often, Though I'm mostly an aro smoker, sometime I want a little spice so I'll a add little of this to an aro for a change. Sometimes I'll even smoke this all by itself for a different taste. 
Most long time smokers keep this around to change the flavor profile of their daily smoke or if they're trying a new blend and it's wimpy: just add a bit of this and it won't be. If you're trying your hand at blending, you need latakia and C&D has some of the best....Read More
