Nothing like a big bowl of OJK Original after a long day at work. It just hits the spot as a strong, nighttime smoke with the power and the spice. This is an easy blend to review - do you like C&D’s dark burley and do you like perique? If yes and yes, then you’ll love this. Otherwise stick to the Golden Sliced! Does get harsh and bitey if you push it. Redburn and Pegasus are some lighter options which I recommend if you don’t like perique. How have I not smoked this before/.! Loaded a bowl from a 4oz jar of bulk I bough when it was on sale. WOW! This is a fantastic blend. Rich earthy burly with some spice from the perique and a sweet note from the Virginia. It all works REALLY well. I did not expect much from this as I expected a boring codger blend. Don't know how people don't like this blend, unless you just don't like burley. Really is one of the best burley blends on the market, a tie in my opinion to Haunted Bookshop, but a bit heavier on the nicotine. C&D absolutley killing it with their blends. If you get an ashy smoke, slow it down. When smoking Old Joe Krantz properly, it tastes like a sweet and spicy chocolate peanut. Maybe I'm an outlier, I don't know, but if your a fan of burley, do not sleep on OJK. Absolutley killer blend 5/5 from me!...Read More
