About This Pipe Tobacco

In the New Orleans Mardi Gras tradition, no confection is quite as synonymous with the season as the colorful King Cake. Beginning on Epiphany, January 6, the streets explode with parties and festivals, bringing together family and friends in the spirit of Mardi Gras. With that very same intent, Cornell & Diehl created this Cellar Series blend to honor the New Orleans staple. Experience Mardi Gras like never before with King Cake.

I really enjoy this blend. The cake is pressed nicely and the tin note smells great. I really like how this blend is not overly sweet. Do not get me worng it has a nice sweet flavor but it is not overly sweet. The perique adds a nice balanced spice. Looking forward to trying a tin after it has aged for a year....Read More

Night out experience in bowl!!!

This is a great blend. Jeremy Reeves did a outstanding job!!! The tin note was mind blowing, strong, alcoholy, night on the town experience with some sweetness. First light i wasn't impressed...... until I got it going and then bam burst of flavors and none outshined the others. It has a great balance of tobacco flavors from the Virginia's, oriental's, and perique. Just when you think you have it figured out more notes come through with no tongue bite no bitterness no ashiness all around to me a perfectly blended experience. Now for the bad, Its so good that I don't think I can cellar this blend for 10 years without smoking it. Definitely gonna be a challenge but I'm hopeful. Tin notes of a nice lemon cake. The room note is just tobacco. I’m going to age it to see if it improves any, but as of right now not my favorite from the brand.

Plum, bready cake, subtle sweetness and spices. This aromatic smokes well and doesn’t bite. Easy to break the cake apart and no need to dry. I bought two tins, one to age and one to try now. My open tin has 6 months of age and I think it’s already good as is but the aging potential is absolutely there. Next update in 10-15 years....Read More

First opening this time you get smacked in the nose it's hard to take it all in. Very yeasty ,
Bread note heavy with the sweetness to it
Which is exactly what you will taste for the first half of the bowl then the prete kicks in and you get a spicy note.
