The ribbons are tan, brown, and black and uniforming cut.
Smoked in a Missouri pride.
When I lit the first bowl, I was shocked because I tasted nothing. Sometimes you hear someone say they smoke a blend and all they got was hot air and that’s exactly how the first bowl starts. Like there was no immediate impression except for the absence of one.
A little bit of pushing, and you could tell that it was a VaPer, but it was almost like a diet version. And this is confusing because just as the bag aromas are delicious so was the room note of the smoke I was producing, however, the flavor was as absent as the offensive line for the Carolina Panthers.
Through subsequent bowls it did improve and I figured you have to push it a little bit, but therein you face a challenge because if you push it too much it’s going to get bitey but if you push it just right, you get some nice citrus little bit of spice little bit of tang - not a lot but it’s there.
I kinda look at the sample and wonder is it too old? Or is it possible that it’s too young? I’m really wanting to find some positives here because I like VaPer mixes and two out of three being aroma in the bag and in the smoke to be sure it’s in the flavor somewhere. But I cannot unlock it.
Taking my experience with these samples, I would describe this as a VaPer with training wheels for someone getting into pipe smoking on their way to more rich and complex blends down the road.

I used this blend a lot. I like to cut it with either Autumn Evening or Vanilla Custard. Helps enhance some blends imo.
