When I first got this I didn’t like anything about it. So I put it in a jar and was scared to try it again. After four years I decided to try it because I needed the jar. This stuff is amazing. The Latakia is up front and personal in this tobacco, with the Orientals playing second fiddle just loud enough to be heard. The Virginias are there too in the back, adding just a subtle sweetness. I enjoy the beef jerky smokiness of the Latakia. I smoke this blend mostly in a clay pipe, but I have smoked it in cobs and briars as well. I feel as if the clay pipe just gives you a chance to actually taste this fine blend. This is an English blend that is well balanced. The tobacco is dry to the touch, but lights and smokes well. This is a great option for an all day English, if you're in the market for one. The tin note is definitely English, but the room note is light, smokey and sweet. Smoking this in a crowd, I have had no complaints and have instead had people ask me what I was smoking because the smell was go inviting and not off-putting.
