Blackpoint is a luxurious blend of Red and Lemon Virginias, Cyprian Latakia, exotic Oriental tobaccos, and a perfect measure of Louisiana Perique for a lively, piquant finish from G. L. Pease. The smoke is creamy and lingering, engaging the palate with a mouth-filling array of wonderful flavors. Reminiscent of raisins and stewed figs, fireplaces in the fall and walks in the forest. Perhaps the most complex in the collection. Perfect for an evening stroll or good book.

sins or stewed plums or figs we expect from perique. I was not impressed. But I gave it a few days in a jar and already it has become quite lovely. The vinous notes of the Virginia have returned. The vegetal peppery spice has mellowed. The perique is doing what it does and the figs and plums are showing themselves in subtle but unmistakable flavors. The latakia is probably the least noticeable component, while the exotic orientals are the most salient. All together they combine to form one of the most complex and enjoyable Balkans I have yet encountered. I will definitely buy again. Yes, I realize that most of what I like about it is the product of five years of aging. If it were much younger I'm not sure I'd like it. But as it stands I like it quite a lot. Easy to light. Smokes cool and the flavor doesn’t muddy up towards the end. When I think of a Balkan this is what comes to mind. It is identical to H&H Blackhouse to me, unsurprisingly (due to these blends’ histories).

Not terrible, just nothing special. Reminds me of a less sweet, and smokier SPC Plum Pudding. Really mild on the Nic hit. You could definitely smoke this one all day if you felt like it. Not going to impress, but it won’t disappoint.

Obviously quality tobaccos expertly blended. Just a little too mild for me. Greg has other blends of this ilk that are more to my liking. However, I’m sure this tobacco will be great to many smokers
