Failed my brain's burley alert system.

I'd finally discovered the mythical burley blend that wouldn't betray me.
But oh no, halfway in, Burleyzilla stomped into the bowl, kicking caramel aside and karate-chopping the vanilla and chocolate right out of the pipe. Suddenly, my head felt like a tiny leprechaun was tap-dancing with steel-toed boots directly behind my right eyeball. Why always the right eye?! Who knows—maybe that's my brain's burley alert system.
Honestly, it's totally my fault. Why do I keep expecting burley to magically transform into something else—maybe a fluffy marshmallow cupcake? Nope. Still burley, still headache-inducing, and still mocking me in my moment of weakness.
But hey, let's be "5 star" fair: this blend absolutely nails being exactly what it says it is—a proud, burley-forward powerhouse. Maximum points for honesty! Its smoke gives a nice perfumy taste and smell pretty much like the 1-Q but less smooth. I did notice some natural Burley flavour.

So glad when this was offered. My morning blend 365/24/7. Great with coffee. Yes, there's some Nic here, but it is not overwhelming. Not too damp and its burn rate is good.

Nice smoke, but nothing amazing. I prefer LL-7 because it seems to have more complexity. If you like Lane it's definitely worth a try.

he 'non-confrontational' aromatics that now abound. HG-2000 has some very subtle nuances that only emerge after 5-10 minutes of gentle 'conversation.' Its not a blend that will "blow your socks off" - but why would a thinking briar-person want THAT? Slightly nutty/vanilla in the first third of a bowl and then a new faint sweetness as of slight caramel [dark chocolate?] in the second third of the bowl. Presumably a fair burley content is the reason it remains cool in the last third - NO BITE - and produced good, thick smoke for me right down to the modest dottle [in a Peterson Dublin 999]. It's a pleasurable blend with it's own innocuous 'character.' A bit like a refreshing glass of spring-water that cleanses the mouth!! Try it, and remember it's a subtle tobacco....Read More
