Cap’s Blend

ening the bag is to walk into a bakery shop - cookie dough, chocolate chips, cake frosting, vanilla - it’s almost sensory overload - BUT needs to be noted they are all very “clean” notes - don’t get that oily chemical vibe that previous aromatics have given off.
Sampled three times in a MM Missouri Pride.
BEFORE YOU READ FURTHER - remember that I rate on a likelihood of buying bulk now to cellar for later. The rating reflects that. HOWEVER I want to be clear up front the blend would score 1 point higher if I was simply rating my opinion of it at face value. It’s pretty decent.
Ok. Three bowls. If you want to approximate this blend, I would go to the local dollar store, get a small tub if chocolate cake frosting and a box of Nilla wafers , and , dredging the cookies through the frosting, enjoy them beside a campfire.
That probably sounds terrible - but it’s not - it’s just how I’d compare it. It’s sweet , like smoking 1Q from a pipe whose stem you slathered with buttercream icing.
To be fair - not chemically like previous aromatics. It is very fragrant- in the bag, in the room , in the taste.
I honestly do not think I’ve had Capt. Black recent enough to compare but it’s gotta be close, if not one yard either way.
Smoking the second bowl was like walking into a bakery or pastry shop. This is not to my liking - I like Virginia sweet and sour, not so much confectionery sweetness - but I do recognize it as being thought out and executed and likely hitting the blenders goals.
Third bowl is more of the same. Taste was (comfortingly) consistent - so if you like it , you’re gonna be able to depend on it.
This is not one I would say I gotta have around. Honestly , there’s probably more Capt Black and 1Q in the world than there are fire ants, by weight - so I won’t waste precious shelving real estate on some - BUT - if I’m setting in a $98 order and need a punch to get free shipping, I’d grab an ounce.
My rating : 3- this is good - I’d buy it on sale Or to get free shipping in an order.

sweet on summer evenings. It doesn't taste like chemicals unlike other aromatics that I've tried. It tastes sweet like vanilla, caramel, raisin, with some chocolate cookies. I will order more in the future! Solid 4.5 stars!...Read More

not leave a room note of acidic vomit or cow manure like this one did. Perhaps I need to dry it out more? I thought the kids and lady were just exaggerating. I stepped outside the house then back in and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Won't buy again, sadly....Read More

This is pretty good stuff, but to me it’s not reminiscent of Captain at all. 2.5 stars because it’s not like what they say it is.
