half way smokable

Product: Gawith Hoggarth & Co. Dark Bird's Eye Bulk
I've recently been trying out different blends with dark fired tobaccos and was very excited to try this one, however the entire mixture is full of 1/4" sized tobacco stalk that makes the experience not just un-enjoyable but actually infuriating. I bought mine 9/10/26 and had the same issue with chunks of stems which when smoked makes it very bitter. I've since cleaned it up and I like it better.

Not as strong as advertised, a little more bite than I like. But it tastes good.

Product: Gawith Hoggarth & Co. Dark Bird's Eye Bulk
I enjoy this tobacco on a level that I can't put into words. I have a top five, and this one has found itself at number two on my list. I love everything about it, from the shag cut to the sweet, smoky flavoring of the tobacco. It is satisfying and tangy throughout. I recommend this to anyone who knows how to keep a proper cadence when smoking a pipe....Read More

Holy Smoke, Indeed

Product: Gawith Hoggarth & Co. Dark Bird's Eye Bulk
Dark Bird's Eye is divine, perfect, archetypal. All tobacco is technically American but those Brits sure do it well. They do it better than we do over here across the pond in the shallow end. Just a little embarrassing, that we invent tobacco smoking but they take it from us and do it better. They've perfected it. All of my very favorite blends are from England....Read More
