My 3rd HU blend sampled but certainly not my last!

in the tin note.
The moisture straight out of the tin is what I would consider medium. Packable right out of the tin or minimal drying for those with a panache for dryer baccy.
Now I am a big proponent of love at first light, and this blend doesn’t disappoint. I will say the the char light was all that was needed because the blend stayed lit and behaved favorably throughout the entire bowl and burned down to extremely low dampness (not dottle).
The flavors that permeated the majority of the bowl were nowhere near obscene and quite pleasant to those around me. So I would categorize it as left leaning of center towards pleasant.
The flavors are akin to a light oriental blend with notes of fig, woodsy, campfire and baking spice intermixing throughout the bowl.
The Nic strength is a medium (-) imho
I wouldn’t categorize it as a all day smoke but definitely something I will lean towards when in the mood for a oriental blend with some hardy flavors....Read More

smoked so far just hit. Flavors are complex and plentiful, the variety of different cuts to the tobacco help here I’m sure as the burn rates would be different between the cubed, flake, and ribbon cuts of tobacco. There’s a nice chocolate note from the casing or from the burley or both, nice sour floral note from the orientals, pleasant room note, and nice sweetness from the Virginias and sweet and spicy flavor from the Perique. The casing or topping used is pretty mild/minimal and adds a nice extra level of depth. Similar casing or topping used on their Makhuwa blend as well with similar result, just a bit of added depth. Only draw back is limited availability, slightly wet burning when fresh out the tin and requires a few relights, let it dry for a couple hours and it’s near perfect for my tastes
Update: this blend still rocks. If you like sweet, spicy, chocolate with a bit of that Virginia sour citrus, this stuff is the jam. Gotta be my favorite smoke as I smoke it more often than anything else. If I want the chocolate of a burley it’s got it. The sour citrus twang of a Virginia, it’s got it. Floral notes of an oriental, check. If you’re looking for the Smokey/peaty taste of an English or fire cured, well nope but minus that it has everything you’d want. Recommend to all Enthusiasts and all Newcomers as an easy to enjoy Oriental blend with great flavor, no burn, and mild enough for use in large bowls without worry.
Update:....50 gram mark.
The blend has good manners, high flavor, bowl after bowl.
