Tin note of smoky, herds and tangy. Tobacco is a ribbon cut of brown, tan and black. Moisture content is great. Burns moderate with few relights. The strength is mild to medium and nic is mild. No flavoring detected. Taste is medium and very consistent, with notes of smoky incense, spicy, floral, spices, bitter dry wood, orange peel/zest, sour vinegary fermented, musty herbal vegetation, leather, toast, sweet grass, earthy, savory, a tart and tangy lemony background note, and a peppery retro. Nice budget English blend

Lights well and burns evenly. Not too strong but with enough latakia to let you know what you're smoking. Smooth, not bitey, but can get a bit hot you are smoking it while doing something. Bought another pouch, quite happy.

Top smoke in my opinion. A great if not a little mild english blend. It is something that wont blow anyone's socks off smoking, but it is the type of smoke I think almost all pipe smokers would enjoy. This is one made it into my regular tobacco rotation. So there between the Americas and The British Isles lies the Wild Atlantic. The name is apt actually. Wild Atlantic is marketed as a “Traditional English Blend” but seems custom built for the milder aro-smoking American piper who may venture into English waters so-to-speak. It does have the flavors one would expect from an English blend. However, this will not put you to bed like Dunhill Nightcap. It wont raise your eyebrows like Lane Limited Medal of Valor. No, this is a very tame English. You can taste the Latakia flavor as well as some oriental, but it is rather mild non-the-less. It reminds me of a weak version of Missouri Meerschaum American Patriot. Wild Atlantic is a fast burner that can get a bit ashy quickly. It's a pouch rather than a tin if you believe that means something. But, I don't want to put anyone off Wild Atlantic. It's a good one to carry in a pocket or glove box for a quick smoke on-the-go and it'll suffice for that Latakia fix until you can light-up your favorite Lat-bomb. I'm fond of the ribbon cut they use...it's almost a shag you have to pull apart. Nice, I like that. It has a reasonable price tag for what you get and I do believe I'd buy this again. It's a great blend, I would agree with smoking pipes 3 out of 5 for taste not too strong, barely any nic, and keeps you intrigued through out the bowl. It's only 4.5 cuz I just want a bit more out of it, I will always keep some in the house :)

Here is my opinion on the tobacco as I am smoking it right now:
The blend is a medium strength and comes in ribbon cut which packs and burns easy. I can definitely taste the Latakia and spicy Orientals but it lacks the Virginia flavor for me.
