Tin notes of aromatic English; sour, sweet and smoky. The ribbon cut looks is light brown, dark brown and black. Fairly dry, no prep needed. Burns slow with few relights. The strength mild, nic is mild. Sweet flavoring detected with tin note and taste, though light. Taste is med and consistent, with notes of smoky wood, earth, floral, slight sweet lemon, mildly spicy and a few sour notes. Room note is tolerable and after taste is ok....Read More

Please take this with a grain of salt- as I am new to pipe tobacco. That said, of the half dozen or so tobaccos over tried thus far, SG’s Perfection really did it for me. I found it to be a very smooth and dry smoke in my meers. I was able to pull out the vanilla flavors, as advertised. What o thought was a one bowl smoke turned into three, because I enjoyed the first so much. Will certainly return to it sooner, rather than later....Read More

I had very high expectations for this light English blend but to me it flopped. As with most Sammy G. Blends the tobacco condition out of the tin reminded me of a drowned rat. It took hours to dry this out to the point that i thought it would be OK to jar-up. The tobacco form that point would take an additional 10 minuets before stuffing into your pipe. The tobacco did behave well in the pipe with minimal relights but just lacked in flavor that was even remotely enjoyable to me. Hope this helps....Read More

Bought this because my beloved Cabbies mixture was out of stock and wanted to try something new. I am a fan of English blends and this was a blind buy. This is a really good English, the vanilla is so slight it's a hint and it manages to make the blend more mellowed out, or rather more "rounded" with a ghost of sweetness. I really like it, I think I will be adding this to my rotation and start looking at other Gawith blends. If you are a fan of English blends, give this a try, it's worth it....Read More
