e bag. The Cherry Jubilee on the other hand was dry as a popcorn fart. Dry like if you were to pick up a leaf in the fall, crunch it in your hand, and it crumbles apart kind of dry. Tin note = cherry, Room note = nothing even remotely close to cherry. Actually, a quite nasty room note. Burns hot, tastes bad. I have never had a bad Cornell And Diehl blend, until now. so far , is very important in validating my decision to take the project on. Why? Because otherwise I would have never even given it a chance, much less made it a purchase.
Established already, I am no fan of fruity aromatics. I actively dislike a particular strain - in my experience so far - cherry blends. All too often they have a grossly heavy artificial taste. Think of a fresh cherry , candy candy and cherry medicine - all are different. And most blends to me fall in the area between candy and medicine - not a profile I care for.
However there have been two cherry blends I do like - 30 odd years ago when 18 years old, I would go to the Mutual Drug store in my little town and buy a white pasteboard box , within was a foil bag of Middleton Cherry. I smoked many a bowl in a couple Dr. Grabow pipes and while I didn’t love love it, I liked it. In the current era, I also like Dark Cherry Rope from the Gawith line.
That said , the reason this validates the experience - this blend delightfully did something no other cherry I’ve tried has done - reminded me of that old box of Middleton Cherry. Now I’m sure suddenly someone is clutching thier pearls saying “Bullshit!” And maybe deservedly - but it’s my experience, my opinion and end the end I have to live with it , not the pearl cluthing naysayer.
So - to the bowls - it’s nice. Warm. Glad it’s not a syrup bomb. Smoke can be prolific if pushed - in the high humidity condition of smoking in my truck during a rain, it was pure cloudy.
Tight packs equal more sweetness. I’d wager it could bite if your a freight train , but it didn’t bother me.
I like this enough it is noted for my next bulk order. Not a huge amount , but a half pound will probably suffice me for a very long time given how infrequently I’m accustomed to reaching for cherry blends.
(Side note - I kind of want to mix this into a Balkan. Don’t know why. But the urge is there and maybe when I’m done with the next 300 or so bowls this project requires I’ll try it .)
My rating: 4- this is good - I’m ordering some to have around when I am ordering something else

After just 10 minutes of smoking I found the taste and smell unbearable. It was as if I was smoking a cigarette or a cheap cigar. Before I knew it the nicotine hit me in an undesirable way and tongue bite was intolerable. I tried to make it through half the bowl but just had to quit on it. Bottomline is if you're looking to chase some cherry flavor look somewhere else. Blood Red Moon is superior to this aromatic in every way....Read More
