About This Pipe
A superb offering from Jared Coles, this Shield sports a form that slightly resembles those of Tom Eltang, yet with more defined paneling to either flank highlighted by a warm, vibrant contrast stain accenting the cross-cut grain. Blasted birdseye fills the aft and fore, with crisp rings traveling up the shank, contrasting nicely with the sleek boxwood accent. The chamber boasts a fine depth, and the feel in hand is quite comfortable, too, with enough breadth at the transition to accommodate my thumb on either side.
