Cult - Blood Red Moon 50g
For an Aromatic...
I don't love the name, but I love the blend. I am more partial to non-aromatics but this and C&D's Apricots and Cream are two of my favorites...along side my local tobacconists blend called Hobbit Weed. Otherwise, my preferences run along the lines of Peterson's Sherlock Holmes, Navy Roll medallions, and Mixture 965 for context.
Peterson - Sherlock Holmes 50g
My First Non-aromatic
This certainly is in my top 5 or 6 rotation. Being the first non-aromatic, it remains in a special place in my heart all this time. Perhaps my fondness is nostalgic, but it stands up over time. Lovely tobacco!
Peterson - My Mixture 965 50g
Top Two
This one and Peterson's Navy Roll medallions vie for my favorite, back and forth depending on the day.
Peterson - De Luxe Navy Rolls 50g
My Favorite...at the moment
It is a tight race between Mixture 965 and Early Morning. Love it!
Peterson - Early Morning Pipe 50g
One of my Top 5
This is very nearly a 5 if it were not for my love of Mixture 965 and Navy Roll medallions nudging this one down, but only by a hair and likely tomorrow the pole positions may change...it is that close. Love it!
Cornell & Diehl - Apricots and Cream 2oz
Excellent Aromatic
One of my top 4 and maybe my favorite aromatic...tied with Cult Blood Moon. My alt-time favorites are Peterson's Navy Roll medallions and Mixture 965 for context, however.
Vauen - Auenland 50g
Not sure at first...
The first note was more along the lines of an amaretto with slight hazelnut. The longer the tin was open, the more I detected the peach. Upin lighting, the smoke is more caramel than fruit with a little bite to it. To give context, my favorites are Peterson's Navy Roll, C&D's Apricots and Creme, Peterson's Mixture 965, Peterson's Sherlock Holmes, and Cult Blood Moon....eclectic, I know. So, thst is where I am coming from. I suspect with a little time, this one will settle in.
