Product: Peter Heinrichs Curly Special 100g
I’m very impressed with all of Heinrichs blends, especially his Golden slice and Dark Strong. Only problem with the Curly is that’s so hard to find. I guess there are many other people who share my praise of his blends.👍

Tin note of barbeque, spices and musty vegetation. Tobacco is cut into thin 1/2-to-3/4-inch coins of yellowish tan and dark brown. Moisture content is great. Coins rub out with little effort. Burns slow with a few relights. The strength is medium and... Read More
nic is mild to medium. No flavoring detected. Taste is medium and very consistent, with notes of grassy, zesty, oak smoky, herbal, spice, slight bitter, plum, spicy, acidic, peaty vegetation, wood, toast, dark dried fruit, floral, mild vinegary sour, mildly savory, a tart and tangy citrus background note, and a peppery retro. Virginias Flue-Cured and suspected Fire-Cured) are leading with Perique supporting. Room note is tolerable, and aftertaste is great. Read Less

Yes this smells like DLF out of the tin, and the red an golden virginias look promising. But in a pipe and when lit; we're talking a whole new experience here! First of all. This stuff is loaded with peppery perique. Secondly and probably most import... Read More
ant:it is a wicked, wicked clove-bomb! In DLF it was balanced and subdued during smoking, but in No 2, we're talking almost asian clove cigarettes.
Seriously folks: the clove topping, be it naturally og synthetically (eugenol), actually numbed my tongue and palate. Dentists use it as a mild anaesthetic, and apparantly so does Astley. This was a very, very weird experience in a pipe smoking perspective. Read Less

The tartly citrusy, mildly grassy Virginia and Virginia cavendish also sport some tangy dark fruit, hay, wood and earth as the lead components. The nutty, woody, earthy burley is a supporting player that often competes with the aforementioned varieta... Read More
ls for attention. The raisiny, plumy, lightly spicy perique is fairly mild, and never gathers any potency. The sherry topping doesn’t sublimate the tobaccos overly much. The strength and taste levels are medium. The nic-hit is closer to medium than it is to mild. Won’t bite or get harsh. Burns cool and clean at a reasonable pace with a touch of inconsistency in flavor (mostly caused by the perique, which waxes and wanes). Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires just a touch more than an average number of relights. Has a pleasant, lightly lingering after taste and room note. Not an all day smoke, but can be repeatable at times during your smoking day. Not as complex as expected. One and a half stars. Read Less
