About This Pipe Tobacco

C&D's Gentleman Caller is a blend of Virginias and Burleys, with a dash of Deertongue for a vanilla-like sweetness and a smidge of Perique for spice. This mellifluous mixture is so fragrant that Grandma always kept a few bowls around as potpourri to make her favorite beaus feel right at home when they came calling.

This is an absolutely incredible example of what one type of plant can do to a blend. A blend of virginia, burley and deer tounge where the deer tongue takes center stage. Easy to pack and light, the draw will definitely wake you up if youve never experienced it before. Theres an immediate hitof cinnamon and vanilla. That tempers down to an easier cinnamon and vanilla draw. The burley finally works into the blend creating a very unique and refreshing smoke. The deer tongue doesn’t fail as its evident throughout the bowl. Moisture was perfect with an acceptable room note. This is a delicious blend which leads me to ask why deer tongue isnt in more blends. If you’ve never tried it, its well worth it just to experience the deer tongue....Read More

I was nervous to try this blend because of the deer tongue in it. I wasn't sure what to expect. Man, this stuff is great. The Virginia and Burley mix great with the deer tongue. It adds a touch of vanilla to the tobacco. Its very enjoyable and has a great room note. Smoke it nice and slow for the best results. This is the first blend I have ever tried that contains deer tongue. Perhaps that is what turned me off to it ? Did not care for the flavor or aroma at all. The smell when opening the tin for the first time was an immediate turn off, should have known it would be lousy. My wife said it stinks. Actually she said it smells like S%$#. I was immediately banished to the back porch to finish the bowl. No desire to ever smoke this again....Read More

You'll need a longer stem because it burns smooth but hot, and if you're not wise it can bite. Reminds me of Grandpa, and the deer tongue is what keeps me coming back for more.
