About This Pipe Tobacco

C&D's Gentleman Caller is a blend of Virginias and Burleys, with a dash of Deertongue for a vanilla-like sweetness and a smidge of Perique for spice. This mellifluous mixture is so fragrant that Grandma always kept a few bowls around as potpourri to make her favorite beaus feel right at home when they came calling.

I purchased Gentleman Caller on a suggestion from a friend. Having never had deertongue I wan't sure what to expect. I received my order and jarred it. After about 2 weeks in the jar I tried it and was surprised by the flavor. There was sweetness in the blend like a caramel with an herbal hint to it. Definitely an odd / unique flavor. The taste is a refreshing change. The deertounge has a unique flavor profile. I also have Neuro Sarcoidosis in which my lower body always is in pain and makes it difficult to walk. After a bowl of this i seem to walk better and the pain dissipates

I bought this blend not expecting a ton. I read descriptions and thought it might be a good change of pace, little did I know it would become a regular of mine. The tin note is one of my favorites and smells like vanilla. I get a nice vanilla and light dried fruit taste and the room note is pretty inoffensive. It is very mild nicotine wise so I would definitely recommend for beginners or those worried about getting spins from multiple bowls. I do wish there was more deer tongue in the blend, but that is my only minor critique. Definitely recommend this blend!...Read More
