A pleasant and mild pomegranate blend

ful as what I detect in Boswell blends, but it was still nice. I packed it with the 3 stage method. It took a few tries to get it lit, but once lit it burned easily, going out only when I forgot to tamp. It produced a rich, creamy smoke when I puffed as I usually do. When I tried the "breath" method, I found it to produce rich creamy smoke effortlessly, and much more coolly. That was a first, for me.
It smoked easily down to the last 1/4 or so of the bowl, when I started needing to relight more often. It still produced good flavor. When I decided it was done, I dumped out mostly gray ash with a tiny little bit of unburnt material.
I smoked it in an author shaped morta pipe byTurkiewicz, with a 9mm balsa filter.
I'd say it's a solid 3 out of 4....Read More

This is a sweet confection aromatic, though I will say it is a natural sugar sweet and not a processed chemically one. It reminds me of what I remember 1Q, 1M, Captain Black Royal and the like to be like - soft, vanilla plus, sweet as a cupcake.
The sweetness needs addressing because I want to be clear - it's not "thick" - it's just ever present and "clean". I don't like sweeter blends these days, but I respect that this one is honest.
It's not gross - ok - we've established that But that's about all I can say for it. Its kinds one note, and if you want excitement, get a mistress, not this. This is as exciting as the third act at an elementary school talent show.
I really does remind me of any (insert name of aromatic here) that you could buy 30 years ago in an envelope from the local drug store. And that's not taking a shot - those blends by and large are still around - there's a massive audience for them. Just not one that looks at me when I brush my remaining teeth.
I don't see any reason to cellar this unless you have it and its hands down the ultimate nothing else will do blend and you want to hedge against scarcity - otherwise the world is full of this genre of aromatics, and one can easily pick up a fresh tin or bag anytime. Save the jars for something that will age, not for this.
Like I said - it's not gross. It's actually anything special , either, though .
