Just kidding. Stop review bombing stuff. It's absurd you can even review something when you haven't purchased it. Cry in emails to Smoking Pipes about not being fast enough to get the limited release. Leave the reviews for actual reviews.

Just lit up my first bowl after letting it chill in the opened tin for a day. I was initially a little apprehensive at first puff, the flavor and strength seemed a bit heavier than I would have expected. I cube cut it and smoked it in a cob, I left it out for ten minutes to dry a smidge. By mid bowl I am thoroughly impressed, super well-balanced and the flavors really come together nicely. There is a great balance between sweet, spicy, and tangy. Flavor notes I picked up are (in no particular order)-citrus, pepper, raspberry, cinnamon, molasses. Towards the bottom of the bowl the flavors have intensified. I think this will age very well and I am excited to compare my review over the years. When 6 o’clock rolled around I ordered my tins. Wow. The topping on this is very subtle, just a hint of sweetness and a very light orange-y note. The rest of the flavor comes from the leaves. The red Virginias bring the whole range sweet bread notes, but with creamier smoke, I assume from the steaming. The Perique plum notes are there, blended with the aromatic and soft tang of the bright Virginia for a really very enjoyable experience. Definitely more nic kick than most aromatics!...Read More

I love how Cornell & Diehl blend their Virginias together so well. That comes shining through in Midnight Orchard. This is all about the Virginias. Any toppings are deftly mild, and the perique adds a little background spice. There are notes of citrus here and there. Toward the end of the bowl you get some light baking spices. Edited: my review after smoking this is positive. I tend to not smoke aromatics much at all. This is a good blend though. The toppings do not over shadow the tobacco, rather they combine with the tobacco to create a flavorful smoke. Live the citrus and the earthy spice you get from this blend. Glad I got 6 tins to see how well an aronatic like this will age. When will some people realize that just because they don't enjoy something, doesn't mean other people don't?? Are there some blends that are better than sone of C&D's small batch blends? Of course. But there are quite a few C&D Small Batch blends that are in the top 10 for me (Firebird Flake, Steamworks and Sansepolcro). And C&D produced my favorite smoke ive ever had in G.L Pease' Silver Jubilee. But some people act like if you purchase them, you are some idiot being duped. No sir, im not being duped, I just happen to enjoy many C&D blends and appreciate what Jeremy Reeves and C&D are doing for the industry....Read More
