Once upon a time, deep deep in the jungle,there was a little engine that could. he was chuggin his way across the enemy line. Chugga chugga chugga CHOO CHOO. The initial smell when opening the tin was almost overwhelming, and not in a good way. The Virginias and Perique were a nose-burning mix of citrus and acrid spices, but only upon that first opening. Smells delightful after a brief airing out. Strongest VaPerBur (really it’s a BurVaPer) I’ve ever tasted, both in flavor and nic. Smooth but strong, nutty burley is overlaid on top of the sweetly sour Virginias, plus the strong spice of this Perique. Delicious! The cake breaks apart easily, and it lights and burns consistently and well. Docked half a star for the initial tin note, plus the fact you must sip-smoke this train slowly, or the bite will run you over....Read More

This was so unpleasant to smoke - just hot smoke, no flavour, like hot hair-conditoner fumes... I almost threw it away - much like I almost did with Elizabethan Mixture once. But I like to smoke the whole tin to be absolutely sure. The only occassion this was tolerable was on a perfectly still, cool evening. No wind, not too cold, not sunny - just cool and calm.
