Named and blended for Smokingpipes' brick-and-mortar store Low Country Pipe and Cigar in Little River, South Carolina, Low Country pipe tobaccos are all crafted by Cornell & Diehl — also located in South Carolina. They're blended to be classic, easy-smoking mixtures, honoring South Carolina's historic Lowcountry and named for some of the region's iconic rivers.

In the heart of the Low Country, Charleston's iconic harbor is an important confluence of rivers, one of which is the Cooper River — named for Anthony Ashley Cooper, the chief Lord Proprietor of the Carolina Colony in the mid-17th century. As a pipe tobacco, Cooper celebrates the river's rich history with Cypriot Latakia, Orientals, and Virginias for a traditional English blend in a broken-flake cut.
