A lot more than I expected

This blend is a throwback of the late 90's through the early 2000's. Sweet in a sense that the natural sugar comes through but not biting. The hay flavor from the leaf awakens the salivary glands like a slice of lemon. There is a reminder of Amphora gold in the wisps of malt. Then when it settles down there is a rich, strong, spicy smoke that makes you want another bowl right after your done. This is not a beginner tobacco without some aging because it wants respect, a slow cadence, and a gentle tamp. Pack this too tight and you will be eating ice for days to correct your mistakes but slow down, let it go out now and then. Try different packing techniques, rub it out, try it as a fold and stuff. Learn what this blend is trying to show you and trust me you will go back for more if you love reds. Age it for a special occasion and really see what this has to offer. Bold without the Bite

st side at first, but after about 10 minutes of drying, it was ready to pack! I was worried the tobacco was going to be difficult to keep lit, but after the initial charring light, it stayed burning with almost no effort.
Upon opening the tin, I was met with a bold aroma and noticeable sweetness and citrus notes. The smoke itself was just as enjoyable. It burned cool all the way through. Best of all, for someone still developing their cadence, this gave me absolutely no tongue bite! The flavor was consistent from beginning to end. It's definitely a full-flavored blend with sweetness leading the way, followed by a subtle spicy finish that kept things interesting without overwhelming the palate.
Since I'm still fairly new to the hobby, I don't have many blends to compare it to yet, but I think anyone who enjoys bold, flavorful tobaccos would appreciate this one. It's satisfying without being difficult to smoke, which makes it surprisingly welcoming for newer pipe smokers as well. Looking forward to smoking more bowls with it and seeing how the flavors develop as it ages....Read More
