I've been searching for years for a really great pipe tobacco, and this stuff fills the bill. I had to quit cigarettes, but while I was smoking them, the only tobacco I used was Peter Stokkebye Amsterdam Shag. It's probably no coincidence that I find the Proper English to be the best pipe tobacoo as well. I normally smoke Peterson and Comoy pipes, but just recently got my hands on a virgin Georg Jensen Ekstra 10 that I found on Etsy. Can't wait to try this stuff in the Jensen....Read More

I like to buy my tobacco in bulk. I took a risk on buying a half pound of this blend. As I say in my heading, this blend is just about perfect for a bulk tobacco. It is what a good English should be. The Orientals are the right blend without too much Latakia. This blend very well could be my go-to English tobacco. This is easily an all day English blend. I like it first thing in the morning and in a large pipe to finish the day and everything in between. Not really anything to offend anyone here, it's well balanced and not too complex, but just good. It's a legend for a reason. If you're new to Latikia blends, this would be a great introduction. Its easy to smoke with no bite and doesn't require much attention to keep going. I generally buy a half pound at a time as I don't see much need in aging this blend.
