Velvet is another one of those old-timey tobaccos that have certainly endured the test of time. It's a good, mellow burley, but will bite if you puff like a steam locomotive. The secret to enjoying Velvet is to sip it like a fine brandy.

I hadnt smoked this decades. Its really quite good. Same type as Prince Albert but a bit milder and it has a sweet note also. I doubt it will usurp the Prince in my line up but its nice to have around.
