Dark and Oily

an hour. It lit pretty easily, but needed a lot of relights.
The flavor was immediately very robust but mild note wise, I got a few hints of citrus and dark chocolate. Further into the bowl it turned more earthy and I got a bit of spice. There's a mild fruit topping throughout that is interesting. This blend has some good flavors, but to me they don't mesh very well. The burley, virginia and topping are all good but I feel pulled from one single flavor to another .
Smoking wise, this blend stays pretty cool (when it stays lit), but I do get some harshness and a little bit of tongue bite.
I'll definitely smoke and enjoy the whole tin, but I don't think I'll be ordering more...Read More

more harsh to put me to bed.
I’d say the burley really comes through in flavor. I’m getting the earthy, nutty with some grass flavor of the blend pretty much all the way through.
Retro’s pretty much the same as the flavor.
Smokes cool and slow with a dry down time. I’d really not worry about tongue bite with this one....Read More

Graveyard Stew

Nothing special, just a pleasant smoke. Reminds me of a recipe my Grandmother would make me when I had an upset stomach. Burnt toast, cinnamon, warm milk and sometimes raisins. She called it "graveyard Stew". I do nott taste the raisins. Perhaps later with some age on it.

I snagged a couple tins of this on the cheap at auction just to try it out. Lo and behold, it’s actually a very decent smoke, and that’s coming from someone with little love for burley. I immediately cut mine into flakes for easy prep, and I look forward to revisiting.
