Absolutely love this blend. I am not a very big latakia fan. I primarily smoke virginias or va/pers but occasionally i want an english. Especially during the fall and winter. This has just enough latakia to let you know it is there but doesnt take over. It is much more virginia and burley forward. Very nutty. I've gone through about a tin and a half and haven't tired of it yet. Has a soft, subtle sweet hay and figgy-ness to it with a oak fueled fired mixing in and out. It doesn't strike me as a "one bowl a day lat-bomb" but more of an all day english smoke. Not sure why the components listed includes burley, since the label doesn't list it nor do I detect it ( I'm a bit sensitive to burleys). If you like a simple english for smoking all day, this might fit the bill...Read More

When I first opened this tin I found the contents a bit too strong and bitey for my taste. I decided to let it sit for a while and jarred it up. It’s been been about three months, so time for another sip. The seal on the jar wasa bit leaky sothe blend was both older and dryer. Mostimportant, though, is that it was better. It was milder, sweeter, but still a bit bitey. Maybe c&d slipped some perique into the blend.. anyway, it’s now a decent smoke. I figure it needs a full year in the tin (or a new jar) to hit its peak. So stay tuned....Read More

I've been smoking this for a few days now maybe seven bowls. The tin smells more of Latakia then the actual smoke tastes. The Virginia comes through very nice. I would say balanced is the theme of this blend. I'm still learning and enjoying it just as much. Looking forward to seeing the film!...Read More
