The Va's give it a subtle sweet flavor, while the Burley provides a little body to the blend and a little nutty flavor. The perique comes in with a pleasant spice on the back end. The ribbons are dry but not too much so. Perfect moisture to light easy, stay lit, and burn slow. It has all the wonderful yeast of good Virginia and a bit of body from the burley, which is applied lightly. The perique adds just enough punch to make it satisfying without going overboard. It’s a fairly simple everyday blend, but has just enough complexity to keep it interesting. Bulk or tinned, it remains consistent. This is really good stuff, and well worth a try....Read More

I have been on a C&D kick throughout most of 2025. I started with Pegasus and Exclusive and enjoyed both of them more than any other blend. Then came in a sample of Three Friars. It completed the trio perfectly. It seems to have the most Virginia of the three blends and really satisfies the craving for something sweet.
