About This Pipe Tobacco
Haddo's Delight is a stout blend of several Virginia tobaccos with a generous measure of long-cut Perique. Unflavored Black Cavendish and a little air-cured White Burley ribbon provide fullness, body, and a bit of extra strength. Finally, an exclusive process darkens and marries the mixture, and gives the blend a subtle tin aroma of cocoa and dried fruit. The flavor is full on the palate, earthy, slightly sweet and intriguingly piquant, with overtones of figs and raisins. A wonderful G. L. Pease blend for the Perique lover!

I've smoked this blend on and off for twenty years. Just as you wouldn't eat steak every day, you wouldn't smoke the same tobacco every day. It's sweet, earthy, and has a bit of pepper, thanks to the Perique. It's good stuff, and satisfies both taste and nicotine.

happened to me with any other blend I mean yeah you figure out the lack of complexity or maybe the flavor isn't the same down the road but this one was instant. I find nothing redeeming in it for me whatsoever. For a guide line I pretty much like 80% of gl pease creations also preferring rattrays Sterling flake and solani vaper and the entire Drucquer and sons line. Go figure....Read More

Perique (which I fell for in one puff), my first thought was, "I don't see enough Perique in here!" One smoke and I was over that complaint - this is a robust and utterly delicious blend. It doesn't hit that same "punch you in the face" level of richness that The Beast does, but the Perique is still very much the headlining star of the blend. The Virginia is condimental and helps round out the flavor with whatever rum-or-other topping Pease has applied to this recipe. Well Greg, I've tried quite a few of your tins with good results, but this is the one that made me a dedicated customer. Good going!...Read More
