As a person who enjoys HU blends I always have something good to say about them. Dark Moor is not to my tastes but as an HU offering it does have qualities other Enthusiasts may enjoy more than I do.
I do let a bowl sit for quite a while before lighting to avoid rough edges and to air out the flavor profile to an acceptable level.

Well, so far I’m enjoying the blend. But for me it’s not something that at this price should knock my socks off. There’s smoking sweetness , little spice, but it’s like I’m expecting some more smokiness like from a good English or Balkan. So for me it’s good but my taste buds want that. I regret not opening my tin sooner. Dark fruit, cedar woodiness, slight spice. The kentucky leaf lends so much flavor to this blend - almost like peanut brittle that rides along a smokey journey with dark fruit and heft coming from the virginia and perique.
