Get a nice coconut taste from it. Kind of sweet but not to much.

Sweet Killarney has a pleasant, sweet aroma with a fair and mellow body that makes it an enjoyable tobacco for a relaxed smoke. The flavor is smooth through most of the bowl and has enough character to remain interesting without becoming too heavy.

It does develop a bit of tongue bite toward
the end, especially if smoked too quickly, but that has not stopped it from becoming one of my favorites. I would place it just behind Eileen’s Dream in my regular rotation.

Overall, Sweet Killarney is a flavorful and approachable aromatic tobacco with a welcoming room note and a mellow smoking character.

Smoked my second bowl of Sweet Killarney. This time in a Molina briar with a 9mm filter. The filter, I suppose, slowed down the burn so the tobacco smoked more evenly with less bite. It still burned hot, and I used the shank rather than the bowl to support the pipe. The flavor was less pronounced (because of the filter?) but the tobacco smoked evenly and longer than my first bowl. Either way, I'm inclined to add Sweet Killarney to the rotation. Offers a challenge for the smoker to adjust to the tobacco, and the tobacco to adjust to the pipe. _______________________________________________ I wanted to try Sweet Killarney some time ago looking for a replacement for Sutliff's Molto Dulce, but was confused by the many conflicting reviews on this site. Cool, no bite. Burns your tongue. Slow burning. Burns too fast. Finally decided to give it try and find out for myself. I enjoyed the caramel flavor but found it burned way too fast and heated up quickly, with tongue bite...until the bottom of the bowl when the heat cooled down and the pipe smoked slowly with no tongue bite. So, I'm still not sure how to take this tobacco. I smoked it in a Peterson Sherlock Holmes unfiltered, non-system pipe. My next pipe will be in a filtered Molina or Savinelle. I want to like this tobacco. I enjoyed the flavor so I'll keep on trying different pipes. I'll update the review, if anyone cares, after a second or third pipe. Thanks....Read More

This stuff was half price at the local B&M. Now I know why. No amount of drying or slower cadence can fix this one.

As far as I can tell there are exactly two reasons to buy this blend.

1. You want to quit pipe smoking.

2. You’ve really wanted to see what it’s like to live with
second degree burns on your tongue.

It’s a skip for me.

. Its got carmels and sweet buttery sensations on the tounge, but honestly; ----

Too sweet, bite in the throat, coating in the mouth that was just, a blast to the past when I smoked Great Value for the first time saying "Pipe Tobacco, lets give it a go." Not a fan.
