About This Pipe Tobacco

Blended in Germany by Kohlhase & Kopp, Caribbean Blue introduces six unique Danish-style Aromatic pipe tobacco mixtures inspired by the flavors and aromas of the tropics, and fittingly named after iconic pirates and privateers. Packaged in 50g tins, complete with eye-catching, nautically themed artwork, each blend enhances the finest tobacco grades with delicate casings and top notes reminiscent of the Caribbean islands. Available here, Drake showcases Brown and Black Cavendish combined with naturally sweet Virginias and elevated by hints of pineapple, banana, and Madagascar vanilla.

If you're looking for an aromatic with an intense aroma/flavor like CBRM or BCA this is not that. The tin note was somewhat molasses-like with a bit of a fruity aroma, but it was pretty mild to me. Wasn't able to detect a whole lot of flavors from the toppings after it was fully lit, but I was outside and there was a bit of a breeze which I'm sure had an effect. It burned down to a white ash without getting too hot, and didn't goop up my pipe, so it gets some points for good mechanics. I'll have to revisit this one another time indoors....Read More

I don't get a lot of the vanilla or the pineapple, on the nose and on the palate, I feel it's much more banana forward. Maybe they're all playing together but to me this just tastes like banana bread.
