Cornell & Diehl: Dark Burley 2oz Pipe Tobacco

Strong and tasty, no mouth burn and so good! Stays lit to the bottom of the bowl.

I smoke this normally straight. Just a nice smooth comfort smoke. But when I want to ramp it up a bit, 2 parts of this to one part each of Dark Fired and White Burley. I call it my Burley Boys blend.

Good straight burley a little creamy a little cigar a little earthy and nutty. The quintessential burley that will make you take a nap if you get a little forgetful of what you got going on. I have no doubt it will work well in home blends but is wonderful straight.

This Dark Burley comprises 40% of the blend, and although I plan on putting some age on it the initial results have been outstanding. There’s not much out there for something like this. Very tasty and an extremely well behaved burn. Zero complaints on this one.

Jar note of nuts, chocolate, and earth. The brown tobacco is about half thin ribbon and half course cut. Moisture content is a little dry, no drying or prep needed. Burns fast with few relights. The strength is strong and nic is medium to strong. No flavoring detected (or casing for that matter). Taste is full and very consistent, with notes of very spicy, very dry, toast, wood, very earthy, molasses, a bitter nutty background note, and a very peppery retro. Nutty, earthy, salty. Very wonderful when you taste just a little bit. It is a strong tobacco and cannot be consumed in large quantities. I would like to try it as a component for making home blends when I get a chance.
