Product: Cornell & Diehl Five O'Clock Shadow 2oz
I am not as fancy as some other reviewers but this is an amazing blend. It tastes great out of the tin and is even better with some age on it. All the components blend well together and make this a very enjoyable smoke. Its perfect for relaxing at the end of a night when you want to relax. The cake crumbles very easy and makes it easy to pack your pipe....Read More

Product: Cornell & Diehl Five O'Clock Shadow 8oz
Amazing! Picked up 8oz from an estate sale dated 2016. I am a huge fan of KDF. Aged blend is Deep, rich, notes of plums, chocolate, red wine, deep earthy spice. The nose tickle is more subtle, I expect from the age of the tin. Great, Great, amazing blend.

Pipe: Filterless Boswell egg (full bent) Flame: Match lit After smoking Firebird Flake almost exclusively for over a month, I needed something different, so I reached for this tin that I bought on a whim about 5/6 months ago. And boy… I’m really glad I choose to give this a try. It’s subtle, smooth, and lightly sweet. It comes in a pressed cake, so you can cut or tear off a chunk as you please. The cake retained an excellent amount of moisture which didn’t require much dry time- I just slice a chunk off, crumble it, and go. I can’t say enough about its balanced flavor and smoke- it’s amazing. I really enjoyed this blend and highly recommend it. So, go on and grab a tin- you can thank me later....Read More
Smoke this with some grape soda

Product: Cornell & Diehl Five O'Clock Shadow 2oz
I’m a big fan of dark fired Kentucky and I’ll say this stuff is not the ultra tangy DFK you get from Old Dark Fired but is more like a powdery dark chocolate with the sweetness coming from the Virginia’s and deep fruitiness / pepper coming from the perique. For some dang reason I get a grape soda taste in the background. Pretty decent nic. When I got a tin of this stuff it was aged 5 years. I pretty much kept coming back to it because it satisfies without being too sweet or too boring. I’ll most likely buy it again. Sh*t slaps....Read More

Product: Cornell & Diehl Five O'Clock Shadow 2oz
Many folks like starting the day bold and mellowing toward the evening. I can quite follow their path. The blend description says a lot about I experienced with this blend.
As far as tin notes, I can’t say I got the sweet I was expecting, but the deep earthy spiciness was more than welcome. Th
at dark fired was the star of the tin notes.
The blend took to the match readily requiring neither drying time nor relights. The entire bowl burned down with no dottle.
On the palate and ol factory was first that grassy sweetness of Virginias, quickly supplanted by both the dark earthy chocolate and black pepper of the Kentucky and Perique. A blend that can surely follow a good steak or accompany your morning cup of black coffee!
