The Virginia's shine through just enough that it all works. When my heard thins out I'll be back for this again. Bulk 2oz. Through meerchaum or filtered briar so cool no heat. I love that about it.
I'm a year in and still finding out what I like. My next is a straight mixed Virginia. I inhale so I only smoke maybe 3 bowls a day on average. 3or4 Oz of tobacco last me a while. I have about 1 1/2-2 Oz of about 7 different blends im working through and a sun bear and bulk crimson shadow stored....Read More

This is a good Aromatic pipe tobacco blend. It's Latakia and Caramel forward. It's definitely a dessert or after-dinner blend to me --not something I'd want to smoke first thing in the morning.

I smoke straight english blends but wanted to try a few english aromatics. I really wasn’t sure about this blend from reading the reviews on here. I find the smell straight from the bag somewhat unpleasant as a few people have mentioned in other reviews. The taste is actually pretty good with a smoky caramel flavor dominating, I pick up a very faint vanilla flavor in the retrohale but not so much otherwise. The aftertaste is pleasant and not very strong. The burn is clean and dry to the bottom of the bowl with no noticeable moisture buildup. Worth the try and I will let it age in a jar for a while and revisit it in the future....Read More

This smelled great - hay, cedar, leather. Made me think of Elizabethan a bit. Looks wise this aromatic English has a wild array of texture - from almost “shake”to leafy chunks.

Sampled in a conditioned MM Missouri Pride.

Question: why the hell doesn’t everyone talk about this blend ???

It’s freaking good.

The hay sweetness and the oriental smooth tanginess are great underpinnings for the oily smokey Latakia. Bowl one and it was an instant favorite. It’s just beautifully subtle and full flavored at the same time.

Big plume of white smoke carry the leathery Latakia , which really shines here. I’d almost think there was a touch of- just a smidge - of DFK here , but it’s not listed. Again, some reason makes me think a bit about Elizabethan.

Is this a codger English? Is it an improved and leveled up half and half? I do t know but I know it’s good.

I also think it could be utilized as an additive - if one has an English that’s just a wee bit strong for thier liking, cutting this in could dilute but not water down flavor.

Again, surprised I cannot recall anyone ever recommending it. Great blend.
