This is a wonderful aro that is reminiscent of toasted bread with the sweet floral taste you’d get from honeycomb. Excellent introduction to Lakelands

This is my first time trying a Lakeland, and it was not at all what I was expecting. I was thinking it would be more like other aromatics I’ve had, but the flavor is much stronger, and in a very good way. The dark fired leaves give it a lot of body, but with a more subtle smokiness than a Latakia would impart. Meanwhile, the toppings are strong enough to compete without being overpowering. This might be the first tobacco I’ve tried where the aromatic topping seems to become stronger in taste as you keep smoking (rather than becoming the “hot air” I typically associate with late-pipe aromatics). Maybe a unique quality of tonquin bean essence? I’m not even sure the Lakeland essence is my favorite (the jury’s still out on how much I like the powdery floral flavor) but it’s to the great credit of Gawith Hoggarth that I enjoyed this so much regardless. I had it with a maple cookie and the combination was divine. This is a true delight....Read More

Having bought a bit of everything from GH in the spirit of trying all herbs, after letting this flake sit, the sweetness is prominent—it's a little substitute for the Anna you can't get your hands on
