Already a well-respected tobacconist and shop owner in Chicago, Allen Kramer and his wife Tina moved to Beverly Hills in the late 1940s to explore new opportunities in a sunny, warmer climate. They soon established Kramer's Pipe & Pipe Tobacco in what was a relatively small town at the time. Nearby Hollywood proved to be a fertile stomping ground for movie stars, many of whom patronized the Kramer's establishment.
Kramer's created this medium-bodied mixture especially for one of their esteemed customers: the iconic actor Cary Grant. Using the tobacconist's English Blend as a base, Kramer's adds a touch of Irish Mist liqueur for a little more sweetness, while Latakia, Orientals, and Virginias also make their presence known.

The Virginias are the most obvious component and are grassy, tart and tangy citrus sweet with a touch of earth and wood. It's an English blend with some mild aromatic qualities to it. Cary Grant burns very well, but it can bite.

I got this in bulk and, while i was not displeased, i was not thrilled either. I found this blend "ho-hum". I may edit this after a few more bowls. Worth a try. 9/06 2024...never got better

I bought an ounce of this in a large bulk blend sample order I placed. It was a great surprise! Light English with a nice discreet topping. Flavor reminds me of a cup of coffee with heavy cream. I find myself reaching for this blend almost daily.

Very impressed with this blend. It has a lot of flavor to it. The Irish Mist is very light as it the Latakia. It is a pleasing smoke and could be an all day smoke.
