Already a well-respected tobacconist and shop owner in Chicago, Allen Kramer and his wife Tina moved to Beverly Hills in the late 1940s to explore new opportunities in a sunny, warmer climate. They soon established Kramer's Pipe & Pipe Tobacco in what was a relatively small town at the time. Nearby Hollywood proved to be a fertile stomping ground for movie stars, many of whom patronized the Kramer's establishment.

Mellow, smooth, and topped with a Irish Mist liqueur, Kramer's Burley-based House Aromatic gives off a pleasant room note and has been a preferred blend of Pat Boone, James Brolin, Dick Gautier, Hugh O'Brian, and many others.
