as an aromatic and not as a blending component. Mainly because I see it listed distinctly as an ingredient in other blends . Sure one could say it’s just a process burley - but then again isn’t DFK , Perique and cigar leaf all burley that’s processed in unique ways ?
Anyway - when I fired up the bowl I was surprised at the pronounced “sizzle” I got. Expected a lot of steam - and bite - but that never materialized. Interesting. The vanilla flavor tastes good. It does not feel forced , just strong and “confident”. Leaves the bowl kinda soupy …
This blend should come with training wheels - it’s probably a great first bowl for someone who’s dead set on starting with aromatics. I bet it’s a hit with folks who find mayonnaise to be too spicy , too.
I’m in a quandary here. As a blending component , I’d give it a 3. As an aromatic in its own feet , I’d give it a 2.5. But as something I’m willing to cellar , aligning with my scale, honestly it’s a 2.
It starts well, fades to nothing and leaves you a mess to clean up.
My rating : 2- meh. It’s ok but I won’t mind never having it again, but I’ll smoke what I got

ghtly sweet goodness. Try it plain or mix it with an old favorite, you can’t go wrong. I tend to order it in bulk as I will smoke through a small tin quickly. The room notes are comprised of a light sweet smelling, yet subtle vanilla. A great weekend or everyday smoke....Read More

This stuff is dark. I don't really get a vanilla smell out of the bag and it's pretty wet. But in the pipe it's a mild vanilla taste. Not bad, not too sweet. Personally it's not one I'd light up daily, but every now and again it's not a bad one

Roasted sweet peppers, baker’s chocolate with sugar , black coffee (Columbia) with cream, and horse tacky leather (but not sweat).
It was really nice. I liked it.
Kinda like Crazy Ray’s crunchy peanut butter with some sugar....Read More

sh process. It comes out of the bag/tin alarmingly wet, and with a coating reminiscent of cooking oil (that WILL stain, dont smoke this wearing white!), but even without drying burns well with minimal gurgle or need for pipe cleaners. The profile while smoking is fairly one dimensional, but pleasant, and with a room note that's gentle and wonderful. I definitely recommend giving this a shot if you enjoy Captain Black Dark, Lane BCA, or any other straight Cavendish blends....Read More

smoke another bowl or two to really figure it out, but at this point in time, this is probably one of the lightest, most disappointing vanilla blends I've had. Unless this just shines in a different bowl size and shape or gets better with subsequent bowls, I won't be buying this one again....Read More

Nicely flavored but not overdone. Smokes great to the bottom of a deep bowl.
