About This Pipe Tobacco
When Dunhill announced it would no longer be producing tobacco, pipe smokers rued the loss of some of their favorite mixtures. Thanks to Peterson, however, those beloved blends are still available. They're the same recipes and feature the same tin art as Dunhill's, just re-branded for Peterson.
Latakia, Oriental, and Virginia tobaccos are all gently toasted to create Standard Mixture — one of Dunhill's popular English pipe tobaccos. It's a slightly bolder version of Standard Mixture Medium, and is presented here by Peterson.

Standard but not boring. Savory and a lil spice, can't really complain about it. I actually enjoy it more than nightcap, just satisfyingly basic.
Nothing Standard

This is a great blend... Be advised that every one's palette is different! This is one of the best I've had. I've smoked some of the best Peterson blend and more, and this has to be one of my favorites.
A standard!

As advertised, a well balanced English. I would add savory. This is a daily driver for me.

The tin note is a really nice smokiness with some sweetness in the back. While smoking it's flavor is similar with an earthy hint to it.
This is definitely a great blend to start with if you're new to English blends like I am....Read More

This is not the old Dunhill mixture I remember from the old days. It has no taste. It burns the tongue. It smokes like mattress straw. I smoke pipe for 45 years. I buy tabac from Smoking Pipes for many years. This is the first time I have to dump a new tin.
