I enjoy the cut, it’s coarse, and packs well. The light fruit taste comes through in the smoke, but not overly so. The smoke is creamy, the flavour is berry, stone fruits and a bit of rum over a premium tobacco mixture. While I tend to smoke English blends, I do dabble in aromatics from time to time. Tin smell is sweet and inviting but, like many aromatics, that seems to be where it ends. I bought this blend well over a year ago and let it sit only because it was out of sight and mind...my mistakes..it is ,like others have said,very aromatic,fruity..but this blend still stays tobacco forward..I can very clearly pick out the VA tobacco,which to me is the best aspect of the blend..gives a nice little VA nose tingle and aro flavor all the way through the smoke..this is a slow smoke,as is the case with most aromatic VA containing blends,that slow cadence will reward the piper with an excellent blend..nic hit is low/medium low..Tin total age 3 years(jarred 1year)...Read More

Nice aroma very wet out of tin from heavy syrupy casing. Strong coconut cream and berry aroma if that’s enjoyable to you. I like it. Need to dry out before using in my experience. It’s not smooth however. Smokes a little harsh. Otherwise I like the smell and taste. Maybe time could mellow it but for me it’s not amazing enough to store for years to find out. The tin note was promising, fruity, sweet, delicious. Packed half a bowl, applied flame, took a draw and boom! My mouth was on fire! Tongue bite? No sir, MOUTH BITE! This stuff instantly stung every surface of my mouth, from tongue to gums to roof to soft pallet. I was in dismay. So I kept on sipping away, praying the flavor would come, but noooooooo, the chemical taste did not avert. It's like the smells in the tin were a scent rather than a flavoring. I like aromatics, but this has to be the most miserable smoke I have ever had. Dry, acidic, stingy. Retail price is $42.50!?!?! I could buy a pouch of Captain Black and soak it in Drano to get the same effect. No offence to those who enjoy this tobacco, but it simply is not for me....Read More
