Prince Albert - Prince Albert 14oz
Better.
I like this DR version much more. The burley is harsher and its less sweet. I like that.
Cornell & Diehl - Haunted Bookshop
A smoke that paints a picture.
This stuff has had me hooked since I first tried it 10 years ago.
Cornell & Diehl - Billy Budd
Pungent perfection!
Smoke, leather, nuts. A full & bold smoke that is always welcome in my pipe.
Lane Limited - HG-2000
Not for me.
I typically love a good burley & black blend but this stuff has a sickeningly strong "oat" flavor that I just can't seem to like. If a very sweet oat taste sounds pleasant to you then by all means dont allow my opinion to sway you.
Rivertown Tobacco Works - Hazelnut Hollow
Codger Burley indeed!
This blend is very simple. The burley provides a natural flavor of nuts and the applied topping provides a not so natural flavor of nuts. Thanks to the cavendish, the smoke is creamy and full.
Cornell & Diehl - Big 'n' Burley
One of my favorites.
Im a burley lover. This blend is perfect if you enjoy a robust and strong smoke. It has complexity and shows the importance of blending. It has "other stuff" in it, but all those other components exist to do only one thing. That is to put the burley (primarily dark I suspect) on a pedestal. I love it, you should smoke it too.
Cornell & Diehl - Maple Cavendish
A very simple but very good smoke.
This blend has an uncomplicated taste and zero bite. I taste maple and burley.... and that's it. It has what I choose to call "codger qualities " to it. Not every smoke need to be complex, sometimes somthing simple does the trick.
