Captain Earle's - Ten Russians 2oz
Good latakia blend with lot of Nic
Opened fresh tin and smoked in a meerschaum. Burns to fine ash without any drying. Comes as a cake so will need to be cut and rubbed to stuff into pipe. I enjoyed this blend. Good latakia flavor profile. Nice smoke. No rough edeges. It's strong and one bowl at a time is plenty. Recommend a try if you like English blends. Will likely order more.

Needs some age then it's ok
When fresh has a lot of hay flavor and is a bit rough and grassy. Needs at least 6 months in a jar (preferably more) to mellow and age a bit to make it smooth, then it's a decent smoke. Not strong or complex. Could be a good all day smoke.

Cornell & Diehl - From Beyond 2oz
Like smoking a cigar
Decent tobacco. Enjoyed smoking it in a meerschaum pipe. Reminded me of smoking a cigar. Smooth smoke without many relights.. No bite. A good smoke. Above average nicotine hit.

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Bob's Chocolate Flake 50g
Not sure about all the hype
Fairly new pipe smoker. Had to try this when I saw it briefly in stock and find out about all the hype. Opening the tin, it does have a light fragrance of chocolate. Had trouble keeping it lit. Didn't get much chocolate flavor after the initial 1/3 of the bowl. After that, smoked like a decent Virginia tobacco. It's ok. Overrated perhaps?

Cornell & Diehl - Izmir Turkish
Meh. Just ok plain tobacco.
New pipe smoker on a journey to sample and explore many tobaccos. Was hoping to like this based on "The HP" review here. It's just ok. Good for those who want a cigar or cigarette tobacco type smoke. Probably useful in blends to smooth out the other harsh components. Relatively cheap which is a plus. No bite.

Cornell & Diehl - Bayou Night
Very good but very very strong kick
New pipe smoker. Got tired of "candy" aromatics and decided to give this a try. It a very good bold flavorful tobacco with the Latika and Perique creating a nice balanced profile that really packs a punch. Had my head spinning by the end of a small bowl. Probably the Burley I imagine? Agree with most of the reviews here. A little goes a long way. Use caution.

Cornell & Diehl - Nutty Irishman
Very flavorful. Good tobacco
Enjoyed smoking this as a noob. Very flavorful without any chemically overpowering toppings. Tasted Irish cream and mild coffee flavor. Good quality leaf mixture keeps it interesting without a lot of nicotine. Very nice smoke. Recommend trying.

Sutliff - 206 Honey
Ok. Mellow light smoke without bite
Enjoyed it. Nothing special. Mostly Virginia. Couldn't really detect any honey flavor. No bite to speak of.

Decent tobacco
Good blend. Seems to do well in sales. Latika stands out and dominates this blend. Can't really taste the perique. Virginia in background providing the nicotine. Very enjoyable. Good tobacco to return to time to time. Not an everyday smoke for me but very enjoyable in cold weather or late evening.

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Ennerdale Flake 50g
Predictable. Boring
Average tobacco. Not sure why all the raves. Cigarette type tobacco mostly Virginia forward. Can't really tell any flavoring but smoked an old tin so maybe any flavor had faded. Moderate nicotine. Dry and tongue bite towards middle of bowl and needs a fair amount of relights

Cornell & Diehl - Haunted Bookshop
Strong nicotine
Strong nicotine kick. Consistent cigar like tobacco without complex flavor. No tongue bite or aftertaste. Can tell is good quality tobacco leaf. Will raise the dead.
