A Blend That Rewards Patience
At first taste, Davidoff Flake Medallion didn’t impress me. Fresh from the tin, it was bland and bit too harshly. But I decided to let it age, and that patience paid off beautifully. After six months in a jar with regular aeration, this blend transformed completely. Once opened up, I discovered lovely bready and croissant notes with freshly baked goods character. The tobacco sweetness is subtle to medium, and the perique adds just a whisper of spice without overpowering anything. The black Cavendish ties it all together seamlessly. I rubbed it out before smoking, and it burned exceptionally well with no moisture issues. Each bowl lasts between forty-five minutes and an hour, providing a satisfying, unhurried smoke. The room note is genuinely good, though it’s really more about personal enjoyment. While the price point is definitely on the pricey side, the quality of the tobacco justifies it completely. This blend works for both experienced smokers and beginners alike.
