Borkum Riff: Cherry Liquor 1.5oz Pipe Tobacco

I have tried many different pipe tobaccos; but during the past 10 years I have enjoyed Borkum Riff's CHERRY LIQUEUR. It has become my clear favorite because it is smooth, and enjoyable to smoke. It is aromatic, and everyone loves the smell. This is now the only tobacco I will purchase!

This is really good just Cherry Liquer. I enjoyed the tobacco smell with the perfuming process. Perfect use for cherries. I would do recommend.

Package note of apricots, cherry syrup, and liquor. Tobacco is ribbon cut and mostly dark brown with a little black and tan. Moisture content is a little high, drying may be needed. Burns fast with few relights. The strength is mild and nic is very mild. Flavoring is mild to medium, with notes of sweet cherries. Taste is mild and consistent, with notes of mildly spicy, woody, mild sweet grass, dry earth, mild toasted bitter nut, a mild lemony background note, and a peppery retro. Flavoring is leading but gets overtaken by the dry Burly at the halfway mark, when the flavoring begins to wane. The Virginias are supporting throughout. Bought this with the intent to blend with a chocolate Cavendish and the cherry notes really work. Tastes like a good chocolate covered cherry when mixed. If you have it plain it's a little unbalanced but as a blending tobacco it's extremely fine. Fear not.

I love S.P.com … but I don’t love this stuff. If you must try it … you’d be better off slicing up the pouch into a fine cut, discarding the baccy, load the pouch into your favorite pipe, and smoking it. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Yikes! This is one of the worst tobaccos I've ever had. It's less "cherry" flavor and more "giant, burning chemical spill" flavor! Seriously, the taste was just so nasty, artificial, and chemical-like, that I had to throw this pouch in the trash after just a few bowls. Avoid at all costs....Read More
